Providing evidence on wealth trends
A web-based initiative led by researchers at INET@Oxford attracted global interest from academics, journalists and politicians.
The World Top Incomes Database provides access to a wealth of data on the distribution of top incomes in more than twenty five countries across the globe. Since its launch in January 2011, the world’s media has been quoting data from this web-based database, and extracting evidence which explains how the top 1% of income is distributed in each country.
The database is freely available online and continues to grow as new data is added.
