Solar Energy

Programme on Solar Energy: Organic Photovoltaics

What are we doing?
We are developing new ideas for both the fabrication and operation of more efficient and cost-effective photovoltaic power.

Why is it important?
Through collaboration between mathematical modelling and physical experiments, the Programme aims to ensure that solar energy makes the maximum contribution to society’s energy budget.

How are we different?
We are using modelling and experimental techniques to enhance the development of abundant, organic, non-toxic materials to create low-cost solar power.
