Carolin Weisser Harris

Lead International Operations

Carolin is the Lead International Operations at the Global Cyber Security Capacity Centre (GCSCC), based at the Department of Computer Science.

In this role, Carolin is responsible for stakeholder engagement and the deployment of the centre’s Cybersecurity Capacity Maturity Model for Nations (CMM). She has co-authored a number of CMM reviews in Africa, Asia and Europe and contributed to best practice guides and research outputs in the field of cybersecurity capacity-building. Carolin is also Co-Lead of the Task Force “Strategy & Assessments” of the Global Forum on Cyber Expertise (GFCE) and member of the Steering Committee of CYBIL, the GFCE’s Cyber Capacity Knowledge Portal.

Previously, Carolin was an account manager in the German advertising industry, working for BMW and other clients from the automotive and financial sectors, and worked as a communications consultant in the Ghana Credit Union Association and for the German development agency GIZ. Carolin holds an MSc in Media, Communication and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BA in German Literature and Cultural Management from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
