PEGGIE's Launch

PEGGIE is a prototype battery electric vehicle created by the Oxford Martin School’s Institute for Carbon and Energy Reduction in Transport and the University of Oxford’s Engineering Department and will compete in the 2012 Shell Eco-Marathon.

Royal Society Event

On Monday 27 September, the Oxford Martin School launched its new name amidst an audience of over 200 people who came to find out more about how the School is tackling the challenges of the 21st century. Taking place at the Royal Society, the special event included a range of presentations from leading academics in the fields of cosmology, philosophy, pathology and the social sciences.
World Wide Research Book Launch

Dr James Martin, founder of the James Martin 21st Century School made the closing addresses on Wednesday evening (22nd Sept) at the launch of a new book titled ‘World Wide Research: Reshaping the Sciences and Humanities’. The book is edited by William H. Dutton and Paul W. Jeffreys, with a foreword by Ian Goldin. Pictured are James Martin, the authors of the book and various guests from the launch.
