Research Fellow in Essential Healthcare
Grade 7: £29,099 - £35,788
Closing Date: 27 Feb 2012
Clinical Trial Service Unit, George Centre for Health Care Innovation, Headington, Oxford
A research fellow is required to work with the Essential Healthcare Research Group of the Centre. The post will involve providing general support to the development of the Essential Healthcare group with a major role in our integrated care research.
The successful applicant will take responsibility for coordinating the first established research project from the integrated care programme and will make significant contributions to development of other planned projects. Working with an interdisciplinary team of researchers, the applicant will be expected to lead the qualitative and social sciences quantitative components of the work. This will include ethnographic observations of patient journeys in the hospital, conduct of in-depth interviews with a range of stakeholders involved in care across England, and design and conduct of a national survey. The findings from this phase will form the basis for a large-scale national interventional study.
Applications are invited from highly motivated individuals with a strong academic record in planning, organisation and delivery of health-related social sciences or health services research who wish to develop a career in implementation research. This is a NIHR Oxford Biomedical Research Centre (BRC, www.oxfordbrc.org) funded post as part of the new Prevention and Populations Research Theme.
This is a two year full-time fixed-term post. Interviews for this post will be held in mid March.
