Lord Sumption

Jonathan Sumption was a Justice of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom from 2012 to 2018 and the BBC Reith Lecturer for 2019. His book Trials of the State (Profile Books) is based on the lectures. He has also written a number of books on history, including a much praised history of the Hundred Years War (Faber & Faber, 4 vols to date, 5th forthcoming).
