Andrew Pollard was Co-Director of the Oxford Martin Programme on Vaccines, which was part of the Oxford Martin School from 2010-2015. He remains connected with the School through his role as an Oxford Martin Senior Fellow and as Lead Researcher on the Oxford Martin Programme on Collective Responsibility for Infectious Disease.

Professor of Paediatric Infection and Immunity and Honorary Consultant Paediatrician, Pollard is also Director of the Oxford Vaccine Group. Major clinical and research interests: Infection and Immunity in Children Childhood immunisation, especially vaccines against bacterial meningitis Development of immunity in early life Interactions between bacteria and human cells
