Research Fellow

Dr Tristan Farrow has interdisciplinary research interests in experimental quantum optics and information, and in the role that quantum phenomena play in biological and complex molecules, aiming to develop a new methodology for overcoming the extreme fragility of quantum memory. Understanding how living systems and other complex molecules shield fragile quantum states from their environment, will make it possible to develop the building blocks of future quantum computers or efficient energy harvesting biomimetic devices that copy the design principles of naturally evolved systems.
