Gail Kent has responsibility for global cybersecurity, surveillance and law enforcement policy with Facebook. She joined Facebook in 2015 after serving in UK law enforcement for 17 years. Throughout her law enforcement career she worked on organised crime investigations and strategy, specialising in international co-operation. Gail has worked extensively with Europol and Interpol and served as a UK law enforcement officer for four years in Italy. She was awarded a Fulbright Police Research Scholarship, taking up a visiting position at the Center for Internet and Society at Stanford Law School, California where she is still a non-resident fellow. At Facebook one of the many issues she focuses on is the sharing of information between law enforcement and internet companies in different jurisdictions.
