Professor of Human Genetics

Professor Adrian Hill was a Co-Director of the Oxford Martin Programme on Vaccines from 2010-2015. Although the programme has finished, Professor Hill remains actively involved with the School as an Oxford Martin Senior Fellow.

Professor Hill’s immunogenetics programme currently focuses on genome-wide association studies of bacterial diseases, particularly tuberculosis and pneumococcal disease, and he is a participant in the Wellcome Trust case-control consortium that aims to identify new susceptibility genes using large scale approaches. Watch Dr Hill answering the question: Can we create vaccines fast enough for a future pandemic?
