People Dr Ross Richardson
Associate Fellow, The Institute for New Economic Thinking at the Oxford Martin School
Ross' involvement in the CRISIS project, and his interest in agent-based simulations of the economy, stems from a desire to understand the processes linking fundamental economic microstructure to higher level macroeconomic phenomena. In calibrating a 'complexity economics' model to empirical data, he intends to address questions regarding the control of this complex adaptive system in the guise of macroprudential policy. Ross holds a 1st Class MSci degree in Physics from Imperial College London, a PhD in Quantitative Finance from Imperial College Business School, and has worked as a Quant for a number of years at BT Group Treasury in the City of London.
