Head of Security Architecture, Vodafone
As Head of Security Architecture at Vodafone, Paul Hopkins is responsible for creating and leading the group architecture and assessment team in the development of Vodafone’s Security infrastructure.
Prior to this, Paul was Technical Director for CGI’s Cyber Security Practice, responsible for CGI UK’s Cyber Security technical & service capabilities, roadmap and strategic partnerships. Within this role he was responsible for assisting clients with implementing enterprise wide risk management and security change programmes, as well as cyber security strategy reviews.
Previously, Paul was a Principal Research Fellow at the University of Warwick responsible for research and consultancy work in the area of vulnerabilities, device forensics and privacy for 'cloud', mobile phone and other developing technologies
Paul was at QinetiQ for 15 years prior to Warwick, starting as an information security researcher, and progressing to Director for Ops/Technical Services. Paul has a BEng (Hons) in Electronics, and an MSc in Software Engineering. He is also a Chartered Engineer, and a Member of the IET.
