Stefan is a Labour Market Economist at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris. Previously, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Nuffield College and an Oxford Martin Fellow at the Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET) at the Oxford Martin School.
He has a PhD in Economics from Leiden University and has been visiting scholar at the World Bank Development Research Group, Harvard, and Oxford. In addition, he worked as consultant for the OECD, World Bank, and the Global Fund, and was research fellow at the Overseas Development Institute (ODI). His research interests are inclusive growth, social protection and health, technological change, and labour economics.
