Research Associate at the Global Cyber Security Capacity Centre
Jakob Bund is a Research Associate at the Global Cyber Security Capacity Centre, focused on the analysis of strategy-, defense-, and regulation-related aspects of national cybersecurity postures. In this capacity, he is also involved in the development of a comprehensive framework to conceptualize and assess potential harm caused by cyber incidents.
Previously, Jakob worked as Associate Analyst at the EU Institute for Security Studies (EUISS), where he co-coordinated the Chinese Future Task Force that assessed regional and global implications of China’s security and defense policies. At the EUISS, as co-author, he was also responsible for producing the Yearbook of European Security. Before joining the EUISS, Jakob completed research assignments at various think tanks in Germany and the United States, including the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF).
Jakob holds an MA degree in Strategic Studies, International Economics and a minor in China Studies from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
