I study community ecology as well as human-ecological relationships in tropical regions.

I am interested in how to apply this knowledge to support ecosystem integrity and in particular, the fundamental implications this has on societal wellbeing. For these reasons I am happy to be a part of the Nature-Based Solutions Initiative, to contribute towards promoting the use of healthy ecosystems to increase our resilience to anthropogenic changes.

After studying Biology as an undergraduate at McGill University in Canada, I have recently completed my Masters, which specialized in tropical biodiversity and ecosystems at the Free University of Brussels. I have worked on several research projects investigating a range of ecological phenomena in both temperate and tropical environments.
