Helen Fryer is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Zoology, Oxford. Her research focusses on the development of mathematical models to aid in our understanding of the evolution and spread infectious diseases.
Her experience lies in the within-host dynamics of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and the spread of antibiotic resistance. Current research interests include combining evolutionary models and dynamical models to develop tools to support policy decisions in the event of an infectious disease outbreak.
Helen Fryer studied mathematics (MMath) at Lincoln College, Oxford before completing a Dphil in infectious disease modelling in the Department of Zoology, Oxford.
