Dr Nicole Miranda

Senior Researcher

Nicole Miranda holds degrees in Chemical Engineering and Energy. She is a Senior Researcher on the Future of Cooling Programme of the Oxford Martin School.

In 2016, Nicole obtained her DPhil in the Energy and Power Group of the University of Oxford. Her research used meta-analysis tools to examine the potential of a bio-energy technology to reduce greenhouse gases in the agriculture sector.

Currently, she researches sustainable cooling technology. Nicole has three main lines of interest. Clean transitions of fluorinated gases (f-gases), future global cooling demand and using passive technologies, either exclusively or combined with active cooling.

Nicole is also working on enabling interdisciplinary collaboration in this field as part of her involvement in the Oxford Martin Schools Programme on The Future of Cooling.
