Saad Siddiqui

Saad is an Affiliate of the Oxford Martin AI Governance Initiative and AI Policy Researcher at the Safe AI Forum.
At the Safe AI Forum, Saad supports a Track 2 dialogue between senior AI scientists from both China and the West called the International Dialogues on AI Safety. More broadly, Saad's research focuses on identifying areas of possible agreement between leading AI powers by analysing overlap in existing regulatory approaches and relevant historical analogies.
Prior to joining the Safe AI Forum, Saad was a Winter Fellow at the Centre for the Governance of AI in Oxford, where he focused on Sino-Western cooperation on AI safety, and a management consultant at Bain and Company in Singapore, where he worked for leading pan-Asian companies across consumer goods and advanced semiconductor manufacturing. Saad also has experience in fundraising and community-building.
Saad previously studied at Tsinghua University, where he graduated from the Schwarzman Scholars programme with a Master's in Global Affairs and Leadership and completed the Inter-University Programme for intensive Mandarin study. He also holds a bachelor's in Politics and Anthropology from the University of Cambridge.
