Sanghamitra Mukherjee
Postdoctoral Researcher
Sanghamitra is a Postdoctoral researcher in the Future of Development Program based at the Oxford Martin School, University of Oxford.
Sanghamitra is also a DPhil candidate in the department of economics at Oxford. Sanghamitra's research interests include development economics and labour economics. Her current work explores household and firm level effects of alleviating financial constraints for micro and small firms. She also studies the role of digitalization in the overall growth strategy for low- and middle-income countries.
Sanghamitra has previously worked for three years in the finance department at Goldman Sachs. She has also worked with a range of policy and research organisations including the International Monetary Fund, Center for Effective Global Action, Government of Colombia, SaveAct, South Africa and with think tanks in India.
Sanghamitra holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of California Berkeley, a Master of Arts in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi and a bachelor's degree in economics from Miranda House, University of Delhi.
