About the speaker

John Gallacher is the PI and Director of the MRC funded Dementias Platform UK (DPUK) and Professor of Cognitive Health at the University of Oxford. He is also PI for the Caerphilly Prospective Study and has developed the study’s focus on ageing and dementia. As member of the UK Biobank Steering Group, he leads on cognitive and psychological assessment. He is a visiting Professor to Imperial College London and Honorary Professor at the University of Hong Kong. He is Chair of the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC) Scientific Advisory Board.
