To achieve these objectives, we need to ensure the larger-scale adoption and diffusion of these technologies in a way that maximises their economic value for corporations, consumers and the industrial production.
In this talk, Professor Petropoulos will explore bottlenecks that prevent us from grasping the full benefits of the artificial intelligence revolution and will discuss a mix of policy actions that can help us achieve a brighter and all-inclusive economic future.

Professor Georgios Petropoulos
Visiting Fellow, Oxford Martin Programme on the Future of Work
Georgios Petropoulos is an assistant Professor in the Department of Data Sciences and Operations of the USC Marshall School of Business. He is also a Digital Fellow of the Digital Economy Laboratory of Stanford University and a research affiliate at the MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy, the MIT FutureTech and the CESifo network. His research focuses on the economic implications of information technologies on innovation, market competition, and labour markets. He is studying how we should regulate big digital platforms as well as how the adoption of artificial intelligence affects market structures, labour productivity and work.
