Economic, political and institutional reactions to last year’s financial crisis are redefining the global economy and the financial system. The world is on a bumpy journey to a “new normal.” Dr El-Erian will explore the key forces that are shaping global finance and draw implications for markets, economies, and policies.

Dr Mohamed A. El-Erian is Chief Executive and Co-Chief Investment Officer of PIMCO, a leading global investment management firm. Formerly, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Harvard Management Company, responsible for Harvard University’s endowment. His New York Times/Wall Street Journal bestseller, When Markets Collide, won the 2008 FT/Goldman Sachs Business Book of the Year. He received his MPhil and DPhil from the University of Oxford after a BA/MA at Cambridge.
