Summary: The world’s population is changing. While the populations of many of the poorest countries continue to grow rapidly, most nations are also ageing, especially the rich, developed countries, and some are already losing population. This raises a variety of global issues, including the future of human reproduction, the prolongation of lifespan, migration, the allocation of scarce resources, sustainability, and power and decision making. These practical concerns will have a real impact on the quality of our lives and those of our children. Find out what the world might look like for future generations and how their lives may differ to our own.
