Past Event

Date

Location
Medical Sciences Teaching Centre
South Parks Road, OX1 3PL

This lecture is hosted by the Oxford Stem Cell Institute.

Speaker: Professor Stuart Forbes, Professor of Transplantation and Regenerative Medicine, MRC Centre for Inflammation Research, University of Edinburgh. His main research interest is how the liver regenerates itself following injury. This includes understanding the role of progenitor cells (intra and extra-hepatic) in liver regeneration, fibrosis and cirrhosis. This research has relevance to understanding why cancers develop in the damaged liver.
