Understanding the factors influencing the practical application of the UK Climate Projections 2009 to land management for environmental benefit

Natural Environment Policy and Practice: Adapting to Climate Change

HR Wallingford, in collaboration with Cranfield University and the Environmental Change Institute, University of Oxford, are working on a Defra research project to understand the factors influencing the practical application of the UK climate projections 2009 to land management for environmental benefit. The overall aim of the project is to improve understanding of the practical processes and the strategic choices and challenges involved in applying the UK Climate Projections (UKCP09) to land management for environmental purposes. The research aims to achieve this through working with case study organisations and drawing some generic conclusions and recommendations that will be applicable to other organisations. The project also will provide an insight into organisational capacity to adapt to climate change.
