This workshop brought together some of the UK’s leading philosophers of self-defence to discuss the eliminative/manipulative agency distinction, and assess its contribution to the ethics of self-defence.

Speakers were Professor Victor Tadros (Warwick) on ‘Duty And Liability’, Dr Helen Frowe (Sheffield) on ‘Threats And Bystanders’, Dr Gerald Lang (Leeds) on ‘Self-Defence And Agency’ and Dr Seth Lazar (Oxford) on ‘Scepticism About The Eliminative/Manipulative Agency Distinction’
