Oxford Martin School expertise helped bring a new dimension to media coverage of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
Professor Myles Allen, Co-Director of the Oxford Martin Programme on Resource Stewardship, assisted the Guardian with its production of an interactive graphic giving a clear picture of the impact of greenhouse gas emissions for current and future generations.
"It's great to allow people to visualise what the new estimates of climate system properties actually mean, particularly because some are suggesting that the new report suggests we have nothing to worry about," said Professor Allen. "This graphic puts the changes we have observed over the past 50 years into the broader context of the changes we can expect if emissions continue to rise."
