Aarya Shinde
Research Manager
Aarya Shinde is a Research Manager for the Oxford Martin Programme on the Future of Development.
Prior to joining the Oxford Martin School, Aarya worked as a Consultant with the World Bank, contributing to projects at the country, regional, and global levels. Her work focused on strengthening education systems through teacher professional development, advancing digital skills, and addressing learning losses related to COVID-19.
She also supported cross-sectoral initiatives on human development, the transition to green skills, and social norms affecting female workforce participation. As part of the World Bank’s COVID-19 Global Education Recovery Tracker, she provided analytical and project management support to track global education recovery efforts.
Aarya is passionate about leveraging evidence and policy to drive improvements in education, skills development, and climate resilience.
Aarya holds a Master’s in International Education Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor’s in Economics from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai.
