Dr Bastian Herre is a Researcher at Our World in Data, and he is also a Project Lead at Global Change Data Lab, the non-profit organization that publishes and maintains the website and the data tools that make its work possible.

Bastian leads Our World in Data’s work on democracy and conflict. He has a PhD in Political Science from the University of Chicago and an MA in Political Science and Economics from Heidelberg University.
