Charles Martinet
Research Affiliate
Charles Martinet is a Research Affiliate at the Oxford Martin AI Governance Initiative and a Summer Fellow at the Centre for the Governance of AI.
His work aims to deliver research-based and operational policy advice for the international and European governance of advanced AI. His work has been published by Euractiv, the German Marshall Fund, the Center for European Policy Analysis, the European Studies Review, and others.
Charles previously worked at the Secretariat of the European Parliament’s directorate-general for external policies, at the international digital policy unit of the French Ministry of Economics, and in various think-tanks. He was a Talos Fellow in AI Governance and a Youth Fellow at the European Dialogue on Internet Governance.
Charles holds a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences (Philosophy, Politics and Economics) and a master’s degree in International Governance and Diplomacy from the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po Paris). He is based in Paris, France.
