Claire Dennis
Research Affiliate
Claire Dennis is a Research Scholar at the Centre for the Governance of Artificial Intelligence (GovAI) and an Affiliate of the Oxford Martin AI Governance Initiative.
She is an international AI governance expert whose current research focuses on international institutional design and global benefit-sharing in AI development and deployment. Before joining GovAI, Claire served as a US diplomat and strategic consultant in the United Nations Executive Office of the Secretary-General. She was also previously a journalist covering conflict and organised crime in Latin America.
Claire holds a Master’s in Public Affairs from Princeton University with a certification in Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy, and a BA in International Affairs and Spanish from George Washington University.
