Dr Mathew Raybould

Research Fellow

Dr Matthew Raybould is a Research Fellow in immunoinformatics in the Oxford Protein Informatics Group at the University of Oxford’s Department of Statistics. He is also Director of the Open-Innovation Industrial Consortium (Open-IIC), co-director of the ILESLA and Transformative Technologies for Pharmaceutical Science (TTPS) DPhil programmes, and a Lecturer in Biochemistry at Merton College.

Matthew’s research uses computational approaches to analyse B-cell, antibody and T-cell sequences and structures, with the aim of better understanding the adaptive immune system and its responses to disease. His work explores immune responses in areas including infectious disease, immunosenescence, immunodeficiency, autoimmunity, allergy and cancer, with a particular focus on translating insights from immunoinformatics into the development of new diagnostics, therapeutics and vaccines.
