Dr Noor Munir

Post Doctoral Research Assistant

Noor Munir is a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in the Machine Learning Research Group at the University of Oxford. Her work focuses on developing innovative approaches to address emerging security challenges in artificial intelligence. She specializes in the intersection of cryptology and AI, with expertise in vulnerability assessment, data encryption, machine learning–based cryptanalysis, and the red teaming of large language models.

Before joining Oxford, Dr Munir was a Research Fellow with the Warwick Manufacturing Group at the University of Warwick (2024–2025), where she played a leading role in red teaming large language models. She previously served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Security at Gachon University, South Korea (2023–2024), and was a member of Brain Link Korea in 2024.

Dr Munir earned her PhD in Mathematics, specializing in cryptology, from the Institute of Space Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan, in 2022, following an MS in Mathematics from the same institution in 2019. Her research bridges theoretical foundations with applied AI security, advancing the robustness and trustworthiness of cryptographic and AI-driven systems.
