Stelios is a postdoctoral researcher working in the Antimicrobial Resistance Testing programme and is interested in the development of lab-on-a-chip technologies that enable the rapid identification of bacteria in liquid biopsies.

Before coming to Oxford, Stelios completed his PhD at Imperial College London in 2020 focusing on developing tools that enable the study circulating tumor cells at the single-cell level.

His current research involves the development of microanalytical platforms and molecular barcoding techniques that accelerate the identification of bacteria found in patient liquid biopsies and enable profiling of their antimicrobial susceptibility status
