Dr Xu Deng
Postdoctoral Researcher
Xu Deng is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Oxford Martin School. Her current work focuses on greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution from agri–food systems as part of a Wellcome Trust–funded project.
Her research interests lie in understanding climate-driven transformations in socio-environmental systems, with a focus on emissions, system resilience, and the role of mitigation and adaptation in shaping sustainable, low-carbon futures.
She completed her PhD at Tsinghua University, where her research focused on integrated assessment and economic modelling to develop pathways towards carbon neutrality. Her work has been published in journals such as Nature Communications and One Earth. She also has experience working with IIASA and FAO Nepal.
