Isaac's research interests are broadly in the subject of information processing in complex systems. He completed a DPhil in Computer Science at the University of Oxford, at the intersection of causal inference, quantum information, and the foundations of quantum physics, with a thesis titled "Causal Identification for Quantum Networks."
Previously, he obtained a BS in Mathematics (with a minor in Music) from the University of Chicago, followed by a Master of Advanced Study in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, where he was a member of Trinity College. He has also conducted research on supersymmetry, at Brown University.
