Jean-Charles “JC” joined the Oxford Martin School in April 2021 as the Research and Programmes Manager supporting the School in developing and growing its portfolio of research programmes.

Before joining the School, JC graduated from Edinburgh University with a PhD in Chemistry, this was followed by two post-doctoral positions in Aachen (Germany) and in Oxford.

In 2014, JC became a Programme Manager overseeing SCG Chemicals research projects and team members. From 2017, JC moved on to be the Deputy Director of the SCG-Oxford Centre of Excellence in Chemistry (CoE) where he oversaw over 15 programmes and 30 people. He is the co-author of over 90 publications and co-inventor on 50 patent applications.
