Yacine Ouahioune

Yacine is a visiting predoctoral researcher for the Oxford Martin Programme on the Future of Development.

He holds affiliations with École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay in France, having completed his studies in Sociology (Bachelor) and Economics (Bachelor and MSc). Additionally, Yacine obtained an MSc in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford. His research typically focuses on diets and food security. His master's thesis enquired about the impact of international trade on the nutritional transition in South, East, and South-East Asia. Yacine's recent research has focused on the impact of the Ukraine invasion on food security in Sub-Saharan Africa, with a particular focus on European trade policies designed to mitigate these effects.
