It is vital that academic evidence is heard if a new global climate change strategy is to succeed. In advance of the Copenhagen climate summit (2009) this briefing highlights research from the School that aims to develop practical solutions and inform policy to address climate change challenges.

Protecting the world's forests by helping to inform the UN’s REDD (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation in Developing Countries) project is one area highlighted in the briefing.
