The Oxford Institute of Population Ageing is delighted to announce that registration is now open for the Workshop on “Fertility Transition in Africa”, taking place on 23 - 25 April 2014, in Oxford, and for the Training School to follow, on 28 April - 1 May.

This Workshop will gather researchers, policy makers and practitioners from around the world to share their expertise on Fertility Transition in Africa.

It will provide the opportunity to establish professional collaborations and create a network of knowledge to understand the drivers of fertility and tackle population challenges.

The Workshop will be followed by a Training School in Oxford including:

  • Expert Lectures
  • Understanding Research Data
  • Implementing Policy Directives
  • Exploring practice
  • Case studies from Africa, Asia and Latin America
  • Networking with NGOs, researchers and policy makers
  • Expert Workshops

We are accepting papers for presentation and discussion at the workshop. If you would like to submit a paper, please send a 250-word abstract with your registration form.
