Professor Mark Sansom, Institute of Nanoscience for Medicine

Abstract: There has been both excitement and concern over the potential medical uses and/or hazards of carbon nanotubes. This discussion will benefit from an improved understanding of the basic science of how carbon nanotubes interact with the components of cells. This lecture will focus on both computational and experimental studies of the interactions of carbon nanotubes with cells and their components.
