Increasing the scale and effectiveness of capacity building was the subject of a series of workshops hosted by the Global Cyber Security Capacity Centre on 12 March 2014.
Deputy National Security Adviser (Intelligence, Security and Resilience) Paddy McGuinness opened the day with a keynote address, speaking both about the work being done as part of the UK National Cyber Security Programme, and of the vital need to work internationally to safeguard cyber space as a resource we all now depend upon.
The centre was pleased to welcome a diverse range of experts who took part in three focused discussions, addressing priorities for increasing the traction of collective efforts in capacity building and stimulating new investments. These were chaired by Dr Adriane LaPointe (US Department of State), Professor Angela Sasse (UCL) and Sandra Sargent (The World Bank).
