One of the first James Martin fellows, environmental economist Dr Cameron Hepburn, is set to return to Oxford.

Dr Hepburn became a James Martin Climate Fellow at Oxford’s Environmental Change Institute in 2006, when the benefaction from the Oxford Martin School created an unprecedented opportunity for the ECI to recruit scholars of the highest calibre, working on climate policy and environmental governance at the international scale.

Currently a Senior Research Fellow at the London School of Economics, he has been announced as the Director of the new Economics of Sustainability programme at the Institute for New Economic Thinking at the Oxford Martin School (INET@Oxford).

Wendy Carlin, Professor of Economics at University College London, will also join INET@Oxford as a Visiting Professor and Director of its Curriculum Development programme.

Both will take up their posts in September.
