The Oxford Martin School and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation have pledged to work together on common research interests, signing an agreement to pool expertise and create future synergies.
The Foundation and the School will cooperate with regard to oceans, biodiversity and the protection of endangered species, as well as climate change and the sustainable management of water. The partnership is likely to include jointly supported research programmes as well as co-organised conferences and round tables to further research in these areas, in which the Foundation and the School share common interests.
The agreement was signed in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco by Mr Achim Steiner, Director of the Oxford Martin School and H.E. Mr Bernard Fautrier, Vice-President of the Foundation.
Mr Steiner said: “It is a privilege and an honour for the Oxford Martin School to be able to collaborate with the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation on these vital areas of research. We greatly look forward to working with the Foundation, in advancing the frontiers of science and knowledge about our planet."
