Professor Sarah Whatmore, FBA, has been made a dame in the New Year Honours for services to the study of environmental policy.
Head of the Social Sciences Division at University of Oxford and Chair of the Oxford Martin School Management Committee, Professor Dame Sarah Whatmore is also Professor of Environment and Public Policy at the School of Geography and Professorial Fellow at Keble.
Her research focuses on cultures of nature and interrogates the ways in which human relations with the natural world are imagined and practised in the conduct of science, governance and everyday life.
The Oxford Martin School extends its congratulations to Professor Whatmore and to all the other members of the University that have been recognised in the New Year's Honours list for 2020.
