Farshad is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Oxford Martin Programme on Technological and Economic Change at the Oxford Martin School, University of Oxford.

He received his PhD in economics from the Paris School of Economics in 2017. His main research fields are Financial economics, International economics and Applied microeconomics. He is particularly interested in spatial economics of local institutions and markets. He is also working on economy of innovation, entrepreneurship and structural change.
