View ReportCreating ambitious, effective, and comprehensive rules for a net zero-aligned economy is an unprecedented, whole-of-government challenge. Policy and regulatory responses are multi-level, multi-domain, multi-jurisdiction, and highly technical. The Oxford Climate Policy Monitor is a new data resource launched in 2024 with the intent of supporting governments, the private sector, civil society, and researchers to better climate policy. Through pro bono research partnerships with leading law firms worldwide, the Monitor maps and evaluates climate regulation, law, and policy to reveal how government rules are aligning—or not—with global climate goals.
