On 13 February 2008, the Policy Foresight Programme, in conjunction with the TransAtlantic Uncertainty Colloquium, hosted a day-long workshop on "A new look at the interaction of scientific models and policymaking" at the James Martin 21st Century School at the University of Oxford. It was clear from the day's events that modellers and policymakers alike are giving significant attention to the role of models in policymaking. The workshop helped move forward ideas on how modellers and policymakers alike can shift their thinking to make models more useful to policymaking.
