Care and Justice in Society
The ethics of care can be contrasted with the various dominant ethics of justice. When we appropriately attend to the practices and values of care, society looks quite differently from the way it has been conceptualized by moral, political, and legal philosophers associated with the ethics of justice. We can see how we ought not only to apply the requirements of justice to activities of care, but also how society ought to give priority to the values of care.
